The chairman of Nigerian Bar Association’s Committee on Criminal Justice Reform, Chief Arthur Obi Okafor SAN, has expressed sadness at the demise of yet another frontline lawyer, B. V Dalbada, the Vice Chairman of Bauchi branch of the NBA, who died Tuesday in a fatal accident on his way back from the Court of Appeal Jos Division.
Chief Okafor described the late lawyer as a “resourceful and respected member of the legal profession”, whose “untimely death has dealt a great blow to the association”. The learned Silk said that the death of Mr. Dalbada, just a few days after the transition of another great member of the legal profession, Mr. V. O Grant, was a most intolerable and extremely sad occurrence.
Chief Okafor expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Bauchi branch of the NBA and the entire Nigerian Bar Association family. He prayed God to comfort the family of the deceased lawyer and prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed Vice Chairman of Bauchi branch of the NBA.
“My prayerful thoughts are with members of the branch and his family members in this dark period and pray the Almighty to see them through”, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said in his condolence message.
