CP ALEX ODITAH CHARGES NEWLY PROMOTED PRISON OFFICERS TO BE PROACTIVE

The Controller of Prisons Akwa Ibom State Command, Alex Oditah has charged newly promoted officers to be proactive and diligent in discharge of their duties. He said this during the decoration ceremony of no fewer than 90 promoted officers of Nigerian Prisons Service, Akwa Ibom State Command today at the State Prison Headquarters Uyo. The officers are part of the recently released promotion by the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board in which 12,588 officers were promoted nation wide.

CP Alex Oditah admonished the officers to reciprocate the confidence imposed on them by the Service by being alive to their responsibilities and project the department positively. He commended the Minister of Interior LT-GEN. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau and Controller General of Prisons Ja’afaru Ahmed for the repositioning and reformations on going in the department.

Friends, families and associates of the newly promoted officers and sister security agencies were present during the decoration ceremony. Responding, the most senior promoted officer who is also the incharge of Eket Prison, DCP Anekwe Samuel thanked the Controller General of Prisons and the Board for finding them worthy for promotion and promised on behalf of the newly promoted officers to put in more effort in discharging any duty assigned to them by the department.
