Engr Anana was a development Icon, Says Ita Enang


Senior Special Assistant to the president on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang has joined spirited Nigerians to bid farewell to late Engr. Jackson Anana.

Ita Enang said the retired public servant was an icon of development who gave his all to the service of his community, the state and Nigeria.

Enang, in a condolence message sent to the bereaved family through the deceased son, Mr. John Jackson, said he was celebrating the transition of Engr. Jackson Anana on behalf of the Niger Delta Affairs.

According to the presidential aide, the late Engr Anana who served in the Federal Ministry of Works had employed his capacity and opportunities in opening up numerous roads in the country.

Enang recalled that Late Engr Anana had conceived the dualization of the Calabar-Itu-Ikot Ekpene-Aba federal highway which ended up being a single lane at construction.

He added that during his meeting with him some months before his demised, the 95 years old man had expressed delight knowing that the federal government was doing a lot towards meeting his dualization dream of the road.

Ita Enang expressed respect and adoration to the deceased, reeling out his numerous achievements and contributions to the infrastructural development of the country.

Remains of Engr Anana who died few months back was interred in his hometown of Udioho Ntan Ekere in Ibiono Ibom local government area, after an obsequies conducted by the Deeper Life Bible Church on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
