Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Oil Alternative Economy, Senator Ita Solomon Enang has said that God’s blessing is overflowing in Ididep community.
Senator Enang who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Maritime Sector Response on Covid-19 said the superfluous blessings of God has touched every section of the community, until there was no more space to accommodate more.
Ita Enang is a native of Ididep community in Ibiono Ibom local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
Enang was speaking last Saturday, during the 2020 Ididep Day of Mboho Nkaiso Ididep and flag off of students empowerment scheme at the Presbyterian Senior Science School Sports Ground, Ididep in Ibiono Ibom LGA.
He pointed out that he has attracted many developmental projects to the area, through various federal government agencies, including the ongoing Police Command Secondary School, Ididep in Mbak Atai.
According to him, the project could not be sited in Ididep, because community leaders had said there was no land to accommodate it.
He congratulated Ididep people for being so fortunate with overflowing dividends of democracy and thanked leadership of Mboho Nkaiso Ididep for working hard to make the organization attractive for all natives to identity with.
While thanking all Ididep people for their contributions in making the ceremony a success, Senator Ita Enang called on all spirited individuals to keep supporting the aspirations of Mboho Nkaiso Ididep.
In his remarks, the Chairman on the occasion, Dr. Obong Obong stated that Ididep was a centre of jealousy as all good things were found in it.
Dr Obong stated that just as the three wise men were from the East, Ididep, an eastern part of Ibiono community is replete with wise men who contribute ideas to move it forward.
Obong Obong who acknowledged the everlasting potency of God who, he said, will continue to supply Ididep with good things, called on indigenes of the area to tow the path of peace, oneness and unity and to join hands in moving Ididep forward.
Also speaking, the President-General of Mboho Nkaiso Ididep, Obong Emmanuel Enang appreciated God for not allowing the dreaded coronavirus to infect any Ididep person.
He acknowledged the “contributions of Senator Ita Enang, Prof. Edet Akpakpan, Dr Iniobong Essien and other prominent sons of Ididep who worked tirelessly to sustain the unity and togetherness of the community.”
The President-General used the occasion to highlight his achievements, projects and challenges in the last on year.
Highpoints of the event were cultural displays by Ididep women groups, Ekpo masquerade and prayers for the continuous development of the area.
