PDP, INEC distorted, fabricated Esit Eket Results – _APC stakeholders_

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Esit Eket local government area of Akwa Ibom State have accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC of conspiring with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to distort and fabricate election results against the opposition party.

They said the result produced by INEC at the end of the election does not reflect what actually transpired during the voting process.

At a press briefing Sunday, the opposition party in the area, led by the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Barr Bassey Dan-Abia told newsmen that INEC Ad hoc staff absconded with sensitive materials to doctor the results of the election.

Quoting instances where materials were carted away by hired thugs of the PDP, in many of the units in Wards 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and others, Dan-Abia told the press that his party was leading in the total vote cast at the time.

He announced that his party has roundly rejected the exercise where collations of results were later done in INEC office, after returning officers for the 10 wards had absconded with result sheets throughout the voting hours of the election.

“In some of the units in Ward 10 which is my ward, the PDP, who saw that they have been defeated, connived with the Ad hoc staff and disappeared with materials.

“INEC recruited PDP members and deployed them to Esit Eket. We reject this result and we shall employ all lawful means to challenge this fraud.

Giving more clarification on the situation, the spokesman of APC governorship campaigns, Hon Eseme Eyiboh said none of the results were collated at the respective RAC centres.

He accused the PDP of using unclaimed voter cards and other illegal means to maximize their votes, after the main exercise had been conducted in various polling units.

Eyiboh who regretted the lack of ethical integrity on the part of INEC, especially in the recruitment of collation officers, said they ended up mutilating result sheets in the process of trying to allot votes to the PDP.

Saying one PDP errand boy was almost strangled to death for inducing the INEC staff, Eyiboh stressed that they have rejected the election results as were being announced on the social media.

Meanwhile, the APC chapter chairman who also doubled as the party agent, Hon Augustine Nkuseying told journalists that results of 57 units were collated in INEC office in the presence a heavy crowd of PDP leaders, including the council chairman and the state house member.

The people who commended the security agents for being professional in their duty, called on Nigerians to neglect the “Internet rats” who were discharging the service of their paymasters by posting false results on the internet.
