APC NEC dissolves NWC, appoints Yobe Gov. Buni Ag. Chairman

As Police Seal Party Secretariat


The National Executive Committee of the APC has approved the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, appointing Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe as Caretaker Chairman of the party.
According to reports monitored by NAN, Buni was swore-in by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami.

Buni, who was a one-time Secretary of the party, is to oversee the conduct of the forthcoming APC convention.

Meanwhile, Reports reaching us indicate that the police have taken over the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

Recall that two days ago, a team of security operatives sealed off the party’s office in the nation’s capital, on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

Two Toyota Hillux patrol vans and two Peugeot 604 cars have been reportedly positioned at strategic areas as early as 9a.m around the party headquarters in Abuja.
