A senior member of the Bar and Chairman Criminal Law Reform Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chief Arthur Obi Okafor SAN, has congratulated all the successful candidates at the last Bar final examination, who are billed to be called to the Bar, and urged them to sustain the values of the noble profession.
The learned silk in his message of felicitation to the newest wigs, described their attainment as “milestone in your lives as you are rewarded for your hard work,resilience and perseverance by being admitted to the Bar as Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. It is no doubt a significant achievement”
Chief Okafor maintained that their call “Like every one of us who have gone through this all important ritual, it is a day to be cherished and comes with its own responsibilities and demands. It is a call to leadership; one that requires integrity, hard work and consistency. The society sees you as custodians of law and expect you to contribute in preservation of the ideals of the rule of law.
“As I welcome you to our noble profession, I strongly believe that you are equipped to sustain the values of our dear profession and give the best legal services to our society.”
