May Day: Dean Committee of Chairmen of River Basin Authorities in Nigeria Felicitates Nigerian Workers

The Chairman of Committee of Forum of Chairmen of River Basin Authorities in Nigeria, Hon Eseme Eyiboh has sent a message of felicitation to Nigerian Workers as they celebrate this year’s labour day.

Speaking on behalf of both the Committee of Chairmen of River Basins and Cross River Basin Authority, the dean said, “The Governing Board of Cross River Basin Development Authority and the Committee of Chairmen of River Basin Development Authorities in Nigeria(our development partners in surface and underground water resources management and ancillary infrastructure) felicitate with our functional partners and stakeholders on this auspicious day and its celebration, and remit the wishes of commensurate harmony, productivity, progressive value chain management, safety and justice for all at home and at work place.”

Hon Eyiboh in his message made available to National Newstrack, enjoined workers to see the day as a one to usher in ethical standards that would uplift the productivity level of the Nigerian worker, adding that May 1, “is significantly a turning point in our individual and collective pursuit for industry and enterprise, the celebration of our labour for productivity, our sacrifice for innovations, our endeavours at reforms and demonstration of faith in our sovereignty.”

The Dean, who is the Chairman of the Cross River Basin Development Authority, noted that the growth and development of the country is strongly attached to the productivity level of workers, who have, irrespective of daunting challenges, been the key in the achievements so far recorded in Nigeria.

The erstwhile spokesman off the House of Representatives, added that, “It is our further wish that, this May Day celebration enthrone our new resolve to usher into our affairs ethical integrity, growth, opportunities and capacity utilisation that defy ethno-religious and other primordial sentiments in the drive to actualize our individual and, collective national urges and aspirations.”
