As part of its corporate social responsibility, Total E&P Nigeria Limited has announced date for the commissioning and handing over of projects embarked upon in communities in Akwa Ibom state to benefiting communities.
In a release by the company, the handing over of the community based projects will commence in Uyo on April 13, 2018 at the Civic Center Iboko Offot, which is one of the projects to be commissioned.
The projects are delineate according to catchments captured in the MOU governing the companies activities in the state. One of the projects belong to the core community catchment and it is a 6-classroom block at Ette in Ikot Abasi LGA.
The coastline catchment would have two projects handed over to the communities. They include, Renovated Six Classrooms Block at Ikpa Ibom Comprehensive Secondary School Ikot Ekong, Mkpat Enin L.G.A and a Completed Six Classrooms Block at Lutheran High School, Ikot Udo Mbang, Ukanafun, L.G.A.
Others include, a Renovated Five Classrooms Block at Community Primary School, Ekpene Inuen, Ikono L.G.A, a Completed Six Classrooms Block, Comprehensive Sec. School, Ikot Ekpeyak, Ikono, Uyo L.G.A, a Completed Six classrooms Block, Govt. Primary School, Nto Obo, Abak L.G.A and a Completed Community Health Centre, Ikot Ntuen Nsit, Nsit Atai, L.G.A, which belong to the upland catchment.
The Release indicates that some of the projects are already being used by the benefiting communities.
